I started representing Oregon cannabis business owners back when OLCC was still writing its first set of rules, and a decade later I’m very proud to still be an actively practicing Oregon cannabis attorney. Over the years, as an attorney and active member of the Oregon State Bar Cannabis and Psychedelics Law Section Executive Committee, I’ve been lucky to work opposite and alongside Oregon’s best cannabis attorneys, regulators and rule-makers, agency representatives, consultants, brokers, and bankers.

For the past ten years, I’ve represented all types of OLCC licensees in a wide variety of licensing and business law matters, handled compliance issues and investigations, and drafted endless agreements for grower services, white labeling, settlements, trimming, and more. I’ve seen the ups and downs, tracked the trends, and shared the wins and the heartbreaks. I understand that cannabis businesses have to work harder, be smarter, pay extra, and go above and beyond. You have no margin for error and neither do I. 

I understand the industry

Before I was an attorney, I was the maker of a line of hemp clothing that afforded me a wonderful opportunity to educate people about the many uses and benefits of hemp and the cannabis plant. After fifteen years of running my first business, I traded in my scissors and sewing machine for a laptop and stacks of legal textbooks! After a few years working in the food and farm sector, Oregon’s legalization of adult-use cannabis in 2015 provided me with an opportunity to use my legal skillset to once again be an advocate for cannabis and its many uses.
